During his celebrated Electric Forest set, Philadelphia bred dubstep producer Subtronics first dropped a bomb on his Tripolee crowd in the form of a Rusko collaboration. Ever since, fans have been crooning for the track’s release. Then Rusko followed up the debut with another live edit of the track while at Camp Bisco, creating an almost insatiable level of anticipation for its arrival. Today, fans’ pallets have been wetted with the wide release of “Bounce,” out now via Subtronics’ Cyclops Recordings.
Previously, Subtronics quipped online about the possibility of a collaboration, saying “I would cut my big toe off with a pair of pliers to work on music with Rusko.” All missing toes aside, it seems the dream collaboration have Subtronics biting his tongue. The track features the perfect balance of styles, with growling synths and screeching wobbles from Subtronics and classic UK dubstep elements care of Rusko. Like it’s artwork, which was dreamt up by artist Aaron Brooks, it’s a gruesome dubstep banger from a monstrous dubstep duo.
