DMVU is back with more backward and forward-thinking bass on his appropriately titled EP, BACKWARDS, out now on Flux Pavilion’s Circus Records. Landing as his third EP for the label, the Denver bass prophet explore wonky tones, heavy basslines, unexpected breaks and transitions on the 4-track project.
His previous two EPs, Cloccworcc and Moon Man, had carved out his place in the carnival sector of the bass music world. But BACKWARDS marks his ascendancy to a fully-fledged member of the Circus family. Throwing a figurative paint bomb at the grungy wall of bass, DMVU’s music is made to be enjoyed and not taken too seriously. Perhaps that’s why his unique cut have been used by artists like Alison Wonderland, Zeds Dead, Zomboy, Run DMT, PEEKABOO, Dirt Monkey, and so many more.
DMVU is also making his way along the Circus Records 10 Years tour across the US throughout the remainder of 2019, where he’ll be joining Flux Pavilion and Cookie Monsta for the tour’s final stops in Indianapolis and Denver. He’ll then embark on Dirt Monkey’s Primatology tour soon thereafter.
