HARD Day of the Dead returns to LA Historic with Dog Blood, The Martinez Bros, ZHU’s BLACKLIZT, more
After a three year hiatus, HARD Events‘ Dia De Los Muertos-inspired festival made its triumphant return to LA Historic Park last year. With a 2018 line-up that boasted edgy, boundary-breaking electronic acts like Justice and Die Antword, HARD Day of the Dead (DOTD) was poised for success under the new direction of Live Nation and Insomniac’s Pasquale Rotella.
This year, HARD DOTD returns to its venue home for the festival’s seventh iteration, taking place November 2. The one-day mini-festival sees Dog Blood headlining it’s 2019 iteration, with The Martinez Brothers, ZHU’s techno alias BLACKLIZT, and Desert Hearts founder Damian Lazarus sitting atop the bill. With LA songstress Elohim, Dirtybird’s Justin Martin, and glitch-bass newcomer 1788-L also on the first phase, one can only imagine what else is in store for the second rising of talent on the larger Day of the Dead roster.
The HARD brand is coming off their flagship summer event, held this past weekend, along with a satellite Halloween event at Red Rocks with Gramatik, Tom Morello, Kayzo, and more. So it’s safe to say this part of the year is HARD’s time.
