Duke Dumont enlists CamelPhat and Zak Abel on infectious club-ready hit, ‘The Power’

A considerable amount of time has elapsed since Duke Dumont has given dance music fans a taste for another one of his insatiable house pleasers. The London-based household name released a retro-fitted tune with Shaun Ross earlier this year. Beyond that, there’s been static silence coming from the Dumont camp. Now the Platinum-selling DJ/producer has broken the silence with a brand new club anthem, “The Power,” out now on Astralwerks.

The track is vocally-driven under the guidance of Moroccan-English singer/songwriter Zak Abel, who has worked previously alongside Gorgon City and the late Avicci. Dumont has also enlisted the production prowess of CamelPhat to lay down the track’s high tempo foundation, while Dumont tends to the track’s deep drum work and searing synth stabs that have defined his 90s dance classic sound stamp. By the track’s close, it’s clear the high-powered trio have conjured up an instant house hit that is primed and ready for dancefloors the world over.
