Dirtybird announces second annual Birdhouse Festival line-up in Chicago
When Dirtybird decided to host a one-day festival-styled event in the birthplace of house, the sold-out inaugural edition of Birdhouse brought J.Phlip, Gene Farris, Will Clarke, and Christian Martin… and Claude VonStroke, of course. Now the Dirtybird don is assembling his flock once again to fly out to Chicago for the second annual edition of Birdhouse Festival. The wonderfully refreshing thing about the Dirtybird Players is how the crew ventures beyond four-to-the-floor rhythms to explore the spacier, psychedelic side of house music.
The gaggle of house producers will be stationing up on Lake Michigan’s Lakefront Green once again with the towering Chicago skyline as the backdrop. This year will welcome sets from Walker & Royce, Mason Maynard, and an extended set from VonStroke himself. The Dirtybird crew will also feature a special guest performance from Paul Johnson, whom will deliver a a highly anticipated back-to-back set with VonStroke. In true Dirtybird fashion, the Birdhouse festival will feature offbeat activities, contests, and amenities with specialty branded prizes — all in the name of fun and house music.
Tickets to Birdhouse Chicago are on sale here, but are expected to go fast.
