Opiuo enlists Lafa Tayler on uplifting new track, ‘Send It’

As a producer who is known for wild experimentation, New-Zealand bred producer Opiuo has lead the charge in developing a new signature sound stamp that continues to the push boundaries of how electronic can music sound. His blend of glitch-infused bass music has brought him recognition from around the world and put him on some of the world’s most iconic stages. Following his recent summer festival run, Opiuo has released his latest single, “Send It,” featuring West Coast rapper Lafa Taylor.

Combining his signature funkadelic bass music production with Lafa Taylor’s effortless hooks and lyricism, Opiuo creates a powerful hip-hop/electronic crossover track. Seasoned with atmospheric sounds, horns and vibrant bass drops, “Send It” reassures audiences that Opiuo is one of the most eclectic acts in dance music.

Lafa Taylor is colorful in very own unique way on the track, providing the lyrical framework for a funky single that soars beyond the harder-hitting verses in his frequent collaborations with Bassnectar. With a vocal style that ranges from smooth melodies to tongue-twisting rhymes, Lafa Taylor’s music carries a message of inspiration that is very relatable to listeners around the world.

This October, Opiuo will play his first-ever set at Voodoo Festival in New Orleans and shortly after will embark on a North American tour in support of Gramatik. He will also be headlining Denver’s newest venue, AEG’s Mission Ballroom, with an amazing supporting cast in KOAN Sound, Haywyre, Maddy O’Neal, and Guggenz.
