Funk-electronic duo Oliver announce amicable split
The pair haven’t worked together in over a year. U-Tern will carry on as Oliver.
Prolific funk duo Oliver haven’t released a new project since 2017’s Full Circle. In fact, the duo hasn’t released any music together for over a year — singles, remixes, or otherwise.
Now the pair have taken to Twitter to announce that Oliver Goldstein (Oligee) has left the duo. In a few brief statements, Vaughn Oliver (U-Tern) says he will carry on the musical project alone. Despite having not worked together for a year, U-Tern said, “We still love and respect each other but it wasn’t working out professionally.”
It’s unknown how the split may change the Oliver sound going forward, but U-Tern will have no trouble carrying on the Oliver name. Oligee is very prolific working with various pop stars and will no doubt be successful on his own solo endeavors.
