The EP marks Boogie T’s second release in two months following the late-September release of his hip-hop project, Sweet T.
Following his well-received foray into hip-hop, along with a soulful new EP from his Boogie T.rio outfit, Boogie T has now officially returned to the dubstep front. The Louisiana-native released his newest EP, dubbed Old Gold, which is out now on his very own imprint, Drama Club Recordings. The three-track project marks Boogie T trying on 130 bpm for the first time since 2017’s Soul’d Out.
Fans may recognize several of the EP’s tracks from Boogie T’s recent mixes and live sets, including his recent Night Owl Radio guest mix for Insomniac. Equipped with wobbling basslines, shrilling synths, and comedic samples, Old Gold represents Boogie T doing what he does best. Effortless and loads of fun, the EP is a welcomed return to his swampy, dub-riddled roots. The project even includes a collaboration with SubDocta, another master of the wobble sound. Fans can spot both of them on the road opening for Ganja White Night‘s album-accompanying tour for The One.
