Lane 8 releases highly-anticipated third studio album, ‘Brightest Lights’
The word is out on Lane 8‘s third studio album: it’s a masterpiece! Fans and critics resoundingly agree. The Bay Area producer spent the latter part of 2019 tremendously teasing his Brightest Lights LP, including the title track, “Brightest Lights,” followed by “Sunday Song,” “Don’t Let Me Go,” “The Gift,” “Yard To Stone,” and one final NYE release with “Just.” During that span of months, he also delivered another majestic Winter mixtape and an album accompanying tour announcement.
Now the wait is finally over on the album’s full release. The highly-anticipated 14-track album landed on his This Never Happened imprint late last night. With new additions, “Groundhog Day,” “Road,” “Shooting Arrows,” “How Often,” and more, the album is his latest veteran attempt at soothing, chill house. Complete with organic tones, crooning progressive builds, steady tempos and up beats, and more, Lane 8 shoots for the stars and captures them in this beautifully rendered piece of work.
Brightest Lights is a musical statement that will surely withstand the test of time. Had he only released it earlier, the album would have soared easily into CE’s Top Albums of 2019 shortlist.
