Watch Bassnectar debut his YOOKiE collaboration at NYE 360

There’s no denying that Bassnectar‘s NYE 360 event is the pinnacle event of the year for bass heads around the country. The 18K-capacity venue, Freedom Hall, was filled with his traveling sideshow of wookery and then gone again in 24 hours. The event itself signals a pop-up style with fans in-and-out in a heartbeat. By the time the Bassnectar family left, however, the community had raised thousands in coats for the homeless and animal food to feed local shelters up to a full month.

During Bassnectar’s set though is where the real magic went down in terms of music (you can watch the full two hour set here). Even the security officers were getting down in the stands! In usual fashion, Bassnectar unloaded his most rare tracks on the crowd, including a “Heads Up (2011 Version)” opener, “Weed Wit Da Macka,” “Teleport Massive” over “Blow,” and Imogen Heap’s “Hide And Seek” into an “Empathy VIP” ball drop into “Otherworlds” and “Timestretch.”

About 15 minutes into the evening, Bassnectar delivered a brand new song, which he stated was a collaboration with rising bass duo, YOOKiE. “This is so new, it might not even work,” he said over the mic. The crowd subsequently went wild over the bass-bolstered, eastern-influenced heavy gem. The King of Sound then later retweeted a two and half minute, high-quality fan recording of the full track being dropped live.
