Red Rocks cancels all events until May 11 in lieu of coronavirus spread
With the spread of coronavirus continuing to peak in the United States, the pandemic has caused a large and ever-growing list of festivals and tours to cancel. A recent addition to this list is the iconic and beautiful Morrison, Colorado concert venue, Red Rocks Amphitheater.
The venue recently announced via Twitter and other social media outlets that they would be suspending all shows and tour stops through May 11. While they sprinkle shows and local sets in throughout the winter, the majority of their business comes in the spring and summer months.
The extended hiatus has already affected several major dance music events, including Ganja White Night‘s three day run and Galantis with 3LAU, which has now been pushed to November 6-8. For now, Global Dub Festival on May 16 is moving forward as planned.
While the amphitheater, Trading Post, and Visitor Center are all closed, the park and surrounding hiking trails are still open to the public.
