Illenium and Excision release hotly-anticipated second collaboration, ‘Feel Something’ ft. I Prevail

The time was summer of 2019. The gold-certified Denver-based artist, Illenium, and dubstep mogul Excision were set to give one of their coveted back-to-back sets at Global Dance Festival in Illenium’s stomping grounds. Excision showed interest in Illenium early on, ultimately cementing the sad boy melodic producer’s presence in the heavy, head-trashing bass community.

Due to a rainout of monsoon proportions, the set did not happen. So the two artists took to Illenium’s home studio to begin working on a new song together. Of course, that went viral online. After debuting the song for the first time live while at Lost Lands 2019, now the fruits of their labor have come to full fruition on “Feel Something.”

The track boasts the dual vocals of Michigan-based metalcore band, I Prevail. It also marked the perfect crossover track between three genres that one normally wouldn’t ever think would belong together. Illenium’s passionate melodic bass shines, Excision’s high-powered dubstep drops come in a just the right time, and I Prevail’s raw screamo rock soars. “Feel Something” is a bonafide genre-blending gem.

Fusing three signature styles and spirits on one boundary-breaking anthem, the track marks the second collaboration between ILLENIUM and Excision. Their last team-up, “Gold (Stupid Love),” featuring Shallows, arrived in 2018 and amassed over 25 million streams to date. Next up, the producers will headline Bass Canyon at the Gorge Amphitheater, August 28-30, for their second-ever back-to-back set.

Plus, the new track comes with a powerful animated lyric video. Featuring visuals of Illenium’s soaring phoenix clashing with Excision’s monstrous dinosaur, the video depicts what happens when two conflicting emotions collide.
