GRiZ brings three flawless heavy hitters to the table on his ‘Bangers[5]Zip’ EP

Continuing along his Bangers.Zip EP series, GRiZ has just pulled back the covers on his latest fifth installment of the adventure. Bangers[5]Zip brings three flawless new singles to the table. Taken together, the tracks all flow extremely fluidly despite their vastly different genre takes.

GRiZ delves deep in bass with the heavy dubstep cut, “The Baddest,” serving up GRiZ’s signature dose of wonky basslines and heavy distortion. The EP then switches gears to an energetic house stomper, “My Friends and I Pt. 3,” which reminds listeners, “We don’t die, we multiply” over a four-to-the-floor beat. Featuring the dual vocals of GRiZ Live Band members’ ProbCause and Chrishira Perrier, the track follows up its original release on 2016 album Good Will Prevail and “My Friends and I Pt. 2” featuring Snoop Dogg on GRiZ’s latest LP, Ride Waves.

Finally, GRiZ taps into genre-blending funk-infused fun on the wild and free form track, “Spaceship Ride.” The track shows off vocals from GRiZ himself laid over dubstep-fueled, wobbly bass drops. The three new arrivals speak perfectly to the many different stylistic directions that GRiZ has taken over the course fo his career, while offering a perfect look into where the jack-of-all-trades artist is at now. Bangers[5].Zip is a testament to GRiZ’s distinct sound design, ecclectic production style, effortless ability to create certified bass anthems.
