Frase & SkiiTour get soulful on ‘Too Hot, Too Cold’ via Westwood Recordings

Producing and performing together since 2010, SkiiTour hails from the world-famous ski town of Whistler. Their annual high-energy après ski parties at Shambhala Music Festival have become legendary and their tracks have been supported by Diplo, Anna Lunoe, Zedd, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Martin Solveig, and more.

Shambhala is what binds these two artists together because FRASE is a singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist residing in British Columbia by way of Montreal. With authenticity and lyrical finesse, his buttery, soulful voice sits atop of an arsenal of bass-heavy productions that push the boundaries of contemporary electronic music.

Together, Frase and SkiiTour have the newest release on The Funk HuntersWestwood Recordings, “Too Hot, Too Cold.” Arriving as an electro-soul production inspired by Anderson Paak and Mac Miller’s “Dang!,” the track is a lush summer anthem featuring a poignant vocal performance from Frase over a combination of electronic production and organic instrumentation.

“‘Too Hot, Too Cold’ is about navigating through mixed signals and emotions by trusting that if it’s meant to be, it will be. The chorus focuses on the feeling of being in an amazing relationship and it being simple and fulfilling, but still having to battle your ego with life on the road as a touring musician,” the musicians said in a press release.
