Trigem & Wreckno – Soundfolk
From the depths of the murky swamps of Louisiana, Casey Walters emerged in 2018 as Trigem. His unique flow of wonky, weird bass lines over hip-hop beats have a way of leaving listeners in a daze on the dance floor. Trigem now returns to Electric Hawk Records with a new dancefloor heater, “Soundfolk,” featuring everyone’s favorite queer bass producer, Wreckno.
Thumping bass meets ricocheting riffs for a perfect blend of experimental bass and wubs we can’t stop moving to. “Soundfolk” boasts ominous atmospheres and a Tron-styled synth right out of the gate. With the addition of Wreckno’s famous vocals, a wonky bassline, and a wealth of wubs throughout, the collaborative joint is a sure-fire crowd-pleaser that demands to be played on festival bass stages soon.
After launching in April of 2018, Trigem has found himself a welcome home within the underground bass scene with releases on the labels: Spicy Bois, The Untz, Wormhole Music Group, Sus Collective, Drama Club Recs, and more. Providing direct support to artists from Shades, Champagne Drip, and Sumthin Sumthin to MeSo, Space Wizard, Funtcase, sfam, and Tvboo, Walters is one-to-watch a rising sound in the underground bass realm.
