Elderbass comes to Protohype’s Underdog Records with ‘Change Your Mind’

New to Protohype’s game-changing Underdog Records is a fresh sound from LA-based artist, Elderbass. Otherwise known as Connor Elder, this young talent draws on inspiration from house, dubstep and everything in between for his powerhouse productions – gaining support from the likes of TYNAN and PEEKABOO as well as Underdog’s head honcho.

This record is a follow-up to 2020’s ‘UNDERGRND and again showcases an intricate soundscape. From its murmured vocals to a meandering bassline that is punctured by atomic drums, “Change Your Mind” moves with steady intensity; ebbing and flowing through the speakers with epic energy. The label shares their thoughts on the release, revealing:

Elderbass is the first artist that Underdog Records is supporting outside of the owner and founder, Protohype. We chose ‘Change Your Mind’ because we feel that it represents what Underdog stands for, both sonically and fundamentally. Ethereal melodies, beautiful lyrics, and high energy; along with sharing one of the many young artists we feel deserves a platform to be heard.”

Elderbass (Connor Elder) is Los Angeles-based artist. The 22-year old producer has a strong admiration for bass music, ranging from House to Dubstep. His style of music embodies a deep and intricate sound design with a crisp bassline across all of his productions. While relatively unknown, Elderbass gained attention from established artists like TYNAN and PEEKABOO while receiving support from up and coming producers like Matt Doe, CHOMPPA, and many more. Elderbass’ career is still in its infancy but with his recent release of his 2020 Showcase and his single UNDRGRND, he’s gearing up to establish himself and solidify his reputation in the bass community.
