Cookie Monsta dies at 31, EDM artists react
Tony Cook, more widely known under his Cookie Monsta moniker, has passed away tragically. The news was made public today via a statement from his longtime label, Circus Records. The celebrated dubstep artist was only 31. He was one of the first artists signed to the dubstep label upon it’s 2009 launch by Doctor P, Flux Pavilion, Simon Swan, and Earl Falconer.
Our beloved Tony Cook (aka Cookie Monsta) has left us,” they announced on Twitter. “We are devastated, no words can contain our feelings on such a day. All of our thoughts go to Tony’s family, friends and our heart especially goes out to Tony’s son Olly, the Mini Monsta. The world will miss you Cookie, we will miss you brother.”
