Relive Skrillex and Four Tet’s b2b set from The Warehouse Project 2019
Flashback to December 2019 when Four Tet became one of the remixers entrusted to take on Dog Blood’s “Midnight Hour.” It was a different time, even for less than a year ago. COVID-19 hadn’t yet been declared a pandemic, Coronavirus was just entering into the mainstream lexicon, large scale events were happening in full swing, and the US thought itself immune the virus’ spread. During that time, Skrillex and Four Tet came together for a widely hyped back-to-back set at the UK festival, The Warehouse Project.
Two different producers with two very different styles coming together from two continents. It had all the makings of a marquee set that would be remembered for years to come. Now, thanks to YouTube user @StickyFingers, the full ripped audio version can be enjoyed for all those who weren’t able to hop across the pond for the mainstage event. The two producers have actually played together multiple times in the past, although none of those sets have ever been recorded—until now.
Without a doubt, Skrillex and Four Tet are each pioneers and masterminds in their own right. Each producer resides at opposite ends of the dance music spectrum, although one would never guess it upon listening to their Warehous Project set. With inclusions from Idris Elba, FISHER, Hydraulix, Koffee, Kanye West, Drake, Zeds Dead, and more, you’ll be wanting more Skrillex b2b Four Tet action in the future.
