Liquid Stranger lit up the interwebs this week with his announcement of a Wakaan Halloween Weekend Takeover. Almost instantaneously, the event sold out two of its three days. Sure, it’s a socially distanced drive-in style event, but the event’s viral popularity is a testament to Wakaan‘s sphere of influence in the bass music scene. The announcement comes in the wake of Wakaan Festival‘s postponement to 2021, an event that would have taken place at the end of September.

Enter: Wakaan Halloween, a pretty nice consolation prize. The spooky festival-of-sorts will be held on Montage Mountain, the home of Camp Bisco in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Not to mention, the expertly curated line-up actually reads like a Who’s Who is rising bass talent with themed nightly sets to set the tone. Lucii, TVBOO, Wreckno, and Pierce will play on October 29, the first evening of “throwback-themed sets.” On the sold-out Saturday, October 30, Champagne Drip, DMVU, MIZE, and A Hundred Drums, will take to the stage the following night for “stripped sets.” Rusko, LUZCID, Sully, and Veil will cap off the weekend with “banger sets” during All-Hallow’s Eve.

Tickets are still available here, but aren’t expected to last long.
