2020 is almost over and it’s been a year that the world is happy to leave in the past—especially the world of live music. However, just because the dawn of the new decade was the year that put everyone to the test doesn’t mean 2020 didn’t give dance music fans tons of great new music. In fact, it was the music that got everyone through the trials and tribulations of 2020.
Conscious Electronic has been busy ranking the year’s Top Albums, Top Breakout Artists, Top Singles, Top Livestreams (in place of our usual Top Breakout Festivals), and now Top Remixes. The editorial and music curation staff has spent countless hours tracking down the year’s best remixes in our monthly Remix Radar lists, the dance music charts, and staff nominations. Our methodology also weighed streaming rates, fan reception, cultural impact, and a democratic voting process between the entire CE staff.
