JOYRYDE lives up to his name with Insomniac Electric Mile performance atop a moving car [WATCH]
While fans, artists, and promoters abound are gearing up for a hopeful return of the summer festival season, Insomniac Events, the EDM event/promotion giant behind Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest, Beyond Wonderland, and more, have rolled out a brand new type of live show experience to weather the pandemic restrictions in the meantime with Electric Mile. Since its New Year’s Eve opening, the Santa Anita audiovisual drive-through attraction has extended its programming schedule through February and featured big-name JOYRYDE for a special live-streamed set on the Electric Mile.
With no one to out-do but himself in terms of auto-mobilized live performances, JOYRYDE’s Electric Mile set was a natural successor to his Room Service performance, which he famously conducted atop a tricked-out Jeep last spring. Soundtracking the 90-minute mile-long spectacle of Insomniac’s vibrant luminaries and theatrics from a complete DJ booth rigged to the sunroof of a moving vehicle, JOYRYDE threw down pulsing house number after number in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
