Emerging from Jackson, Mississippi, Wakaan staple TVBOO has quickly become a staple in the bass corner of electronic music. Mitch Draper, known as TVBOO, was also featured recently on CE‘s must-see bass acts at Ubbi Dubbi, taking place this weekend, April 24-25.
Now the heavy bass purveyor gives fans a taste of nostalgia and dubstep with his newest self-released single, “Goku.” Still on the heels of his most recent collaboration, “DRUGS!” with CHOMPPA on Wakaan Records, TVBOO doesn’t let up on his exciting, unyielding take on modern bass music. Laced with a hybrid of deep basslines and clips from the classic anime itself, “Goku” is over 9,000 and is sure to be a playlist topper.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Dragon Ball Z and especially Goku. When I was making this song, I wanted to match the energy that show would give me as a kid. I wanted this song to slam like a giant energy blast, and I believe I nailed it.”

Aside from a clear knack for production, TVBOO’s popular comedic podcast, TVLKS with TVBOO, has recently featured guest appearances from Disco Donnie, Subtronics, GRiZ, and plenty more to come.
Hitting the road for the first time since the pandemic, TVBOO has coined his return with the “Hell Yeah Party Weekend” shows in June of 2021 with three stops in California and Colorado. With safety regulations in place, you can expect a myriad of heavy-hitting bangers with a side of PBR.
