Vampa and Zía elevate Circus Records to auspicious ‘New Levels’ on soaring label debut
Two rising females out of the underground bass scene, VAMPA and ZÍA are gaining more mainstream traction by the day. This pair of dubstep debutantes are no damsels in distress, either; unless you count their distressingly heavy wubs and hard dubstep drops.
The two rising females now continue their further ascent to bass music stardom by making their Circus Records debut and this one packs more bite than a bloodsucker after a hunger strike! Twisted, sinister, and heavy as hell, the two combine their complementary signature sound designs into one thunderous track. In the process, they’ve brought the Flux Pavilion and Doctor P owned label to entirely “New Levels.”
What VAMPA brings to the track is her ability to bend and break genres into any shape she pleases, her unmistakable melodies, and a vivid sound design blending into riotous and fresh bass music styles. Riding high off her “Blood Moon” release on GRVDNCR, she also boasts creations on Big Beat, Kannibalen, Boogie T’s Drama Club Recordings, and Zed’s Dead’ Deadbeats. Suffice it to say, the folks at Circus Records are absolutely “over the moon” to have this rising star grace their studios.
Here she’s joined by ZÍA, another ascending talent and close friend. Their back-to-back sets are becoming the stuff of legend— giving both artists the opportunity to take it harder and darker than ever before. Now meeting in the studio, ZÍA’s own distinctive style is as strong as ever, complementing VAMPA’s and crafting a truly fearsome creation. With her own releases on Bassrush, GRVDNCR, and a huge collaboration with SIPPY on Deadbeats, her future is bright. Currently, ZÍA is set to join HE$H and Bommer later this year on tour. Open your minds and let in the darkness that is VAMPA and ZÍA’s “New Levels.”
