Axel Thesleff rounds out his first EP in four years with final ‘Take Me Here’ track, ‘Five To The Sky’
Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Axel Thesleff is an electronic musician unlike any other. Armed with a diverse style that ranges from bass-heavy bangers to more relaxed and deep tracks, his tunes will make subwoofers purr while simultaneously delivering an emotional impact that resonates deep within the soul. Never one to forget about the emotional impact and the story behind each piece of music, Axel Thesleff arrives in the US right in time for festival season and strapped to the tee with his new five-track EP, Take Me Here.
Take Me Here marks the Finnish producer’s first EP since 2018’s Two Worlds, which was praised by dance music tastemakers worldwide. Fans got their first taste of the Take Me Here EP when the lead track, “Take Me There,” was released in spring, followed by “Alright,” “Floating,” and “Insight.” The final song, “Five to the Sky,” arrives with the full EP release that is already generating tons of buzz with critics and fans alike.
“Five to the Sky” is furnished with organic drums and jamming electric guitars with a lush atmosphere of detailed synths. Listeners are then wrought with feelings of empowerment and expansiveness when Axel introduces elements like Eastern European chanting that build pristinely to an epic finale. By the end of the EP, Take Me Here leaves listeners feeling refreshed and mentally rejuvenated.
Speaking to the Take Me Here EP in his own words, Axel Thesleff says: “Home is where your heart is. You’re already here.” Stream the full EP below.
