Insomniac heads back to China, reveals inaugural line-up for EDC Guangdong

Following their merger with Dutch promotional company ALDA, Insomniac Events  is further poised for world domination. Now Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella has revealed the expansion of the Electric Daisy Carnival brand into Southern China.

Enter: EDC Guangdong. Held inside the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom theme park, in the province of Guangdong, China, the event will take place November 24-25.

Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is a large aquarium/theme park hybrid, complete with rides and aquarium exhibits. Mixed with Rotella’s signature dance music event — with its mystical vibe, world-class production, and stellar lineups — the event aims to be one of global and near mythical proportion.

Included in the first-ever edition of EDC Guangdong are a diverse cast of headliners, including Porter Robinson, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Major Lazer, Steve Angello, Tiësto, Zedd, ZHU, and so many more. Plus, the most important headliner: You.

EDC Guangdong comes as the second EDC event in China. In April, Insomniac entered China’s largest city with EDC Shanghai.

Since 1993, Rotella has been bringing some of the world’s most mind-blowing dance music events to fruition under the Insomniac umbrella — including Electric Forest, Middlelands, and EDC satellites all over the globe.

The flagship edition of Electric Daisy Carnival takes place annually in Las Vegas. EDC Las Vegas will return to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, May 17-19, 2019.
