Fire breaks out on EDC Orlando’s KineticFIELD stage [WATCH]

At Electric Daisy Carnival‘s satellite edition in Orlando, a fire went ablaze tonight in Tinker Field, bringing the evening’s closing festivities to a temporary halt. The fire broke out in the top right corner of the KineticLOVE stage in the beginning moments of bass music producer Kayzo‘s set. Video footage, provided from two local news stations, captured different angles of the blaze on Tinker Field.

A report from the Orlando Sentinel stated that pyrotechnic effects was the cause of the fire, which ignited a portion of the main stage’s large LED display. Kayzo’s set was cut short while the Orlando Fire Department (OFD) cleared the arena due to obvious safety concerns.

OFD spokesperson Ashley Papagni states that the fire was immediately contained upon their arrival, according to the Sentinal‘s ongoing report. Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella also took to Twitter to reiterate that attendees would be able to re-enter the area once KineticFIELD was ruled completely safe.

It’s unclear whether Kayzo will return to finish his main stage set at the current time, because doing so would cut into Alison Wonderland‘s scheduled set immediately after. However, Kayzo tweeted that he will be performing later at the Corona Electric Beach stage.
