Big Gigantic teams up with Ashe on weightless summer single, ‘Friends’
Nearly three years have elapsed since Big Gigantic released a studio album. The saxy, funk-fueled duo of Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken recently posted a video signaling a new creative direction of vulnerability and honesty. Then Big G released a vibrant new single alongside one of dance music’s favorite vocalists, Nevve, that touches on the theme of self-love. Now the pair are gearing up for their highly anticipated return since 2016’s Brighter Future with another vocal-led single from their forthcoming full length effort.
The track, titled “Friends,” is a light-hearted feel-good anthem which enlists the smooth lyrical work of Ashe. Ashe’s sun-kissed vocals float weightlessly over Big G’s groovy bass lines, funky horn sections, and signature drops, making for an effortless production that arrives as the perfect cool down in the scorching heat of summer.
Catch Big Gigantic this weekend, August 23, at Rowdytown New York as well as during their Rowdytown Red Rocks double-header, August 27-28, where the duo will be delivering plenty of unreleased gems from their upcoming LP. Grab tickets here.
