Sullivan King has helming his growing movement with a metal step musical stamp that is taking over the bass music scene. Donning seismic basslines, electric guitar solos, and heavy, headbanging drops in his sets, the fairly newcoming musician has the on-stage presence of a veteran EDM act. Now King has released a two-song EP, Reckless/Breathless, on Kannibalen Records.
“The elements of the songs are actually almost all the same and I wanted that limitation,” Sullivan King said, speaking to the songs’ contrast on the EP. “It added a substance and tonality for lyrical creation. It was all one linear feeling the way one would get where you get furious, but then feel regret right after that, and wish you could fix something, but can’t.”
The new EP follows Sullivan King’s four-track Demented EP, which landed back in April. King is fresh performances at Electric Zoo and Dancefestopia and will perform at additional festivals this month including Lost Lands and Imagine Festival. His headlining tour, dubbed Thank You For Raging, will keep him on the road through the end of 2019 and into early 2020. The tour will include additional stops in Australia, China, and New Zealand.
