Emancipator announces label curated events in Denver and Austin

Balloon Pop Events live concert series returns to Austin and Denver in early 2020!

For fans of Portland-based ambient producer Emancipator, Loci Records will surely ring a bell. The imprint was founded by the downtempo extraordinaire in 2012 and remains curated by him to this day. During that time, Emancipator has signed on budding talents, including Frameworks, Tor, and Thoma, who will all be releasing in late 2019 and early 2020 on the imprint.

Now Emancipator has signed on for a two-night showcase in Denver and Austin, respectively. The second annual event, dubbed Balloon Pop, will feature a headlining set from Emancipator, along with a second stage featuring sets from Blackbird Blackbird, Plantrae, and il:lo. Curated by Future Archive Recordings, the weekend also features a specially-curated Loci Records showcase stage, where fans will likely see new releases from Emancipator’s label-signees, Frameworks, Tor, and Thoma.

Balloon Pop will head to Denver’s Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on January 31, 2020 and Austin’s The Empire Control Room on February 1, 2020.
