Quasar postponed until spring 2021, announce Quasar Virtual Visions 2020
With coronavirus on pace to peak at the end of April in the US, the country is already setting the world’s record with 100K+ cases and over 2,000 deaths and climbing by the hour. In lieu of this upwards curve, festival organizers at Quasar Festival have decided to call their second annual event, which was to see a move into Austin’s Valkyrie Ranch this fall. Organizers said the following in a public statement posted to the festival’s Facebook page:
“Given the current state of the US economy, the world in general, and the shifting landscape of music festivals this season, we have decided that it makes more sense for us to host the next irl event May 7-9, 2021 at Valkyrie Ranch just outside of Austin.”
There is good news to come from the bad, however. Following the recent trend in live stream sessions that are dominating the interwebs, Quasar organizers have started putting together programming for our Quasar Virtual Visions 2020 broadcast series. The goal is to provide experiences, education, and support to their community through the coming months. Be sure to join the event for updates and schedules!
Quasar Festival’s first edition took place in October just outside of Dallas. Also, check out CE‘s event review of Quasar’s inaugural year, which also made our Top Breakout Festivals of 2019 short list.
