Stream G JONES and EPROM’s virtual Lollapalooza set from Lolla2020
This past weekend, Lollapalooza‘s first of its kind virtual festival, Lolla2020, proved itself a massive success. With some of dance music’s brightest artists pre-recording their sets for the masses, the only downside was that a majority of the sets weren’t longer than fifteen minutes in some cases. From ZHU‘s debut of Coral.PINK to sets from Lolla favorites Louis The Child, CloZee, Kaskade, plus many more, Lolla fans were tuning in from all over the world. One set that particularly stood out, especially for those in the world of underground bass music, was G JONES and EPROM‘s back-to-back set.
G JONES b2b EPROM sets have reached legendary status over the years. With sets that are still being talked about from Electric Forest and Bassnectar’s NYE 360, the set itself has been described as “surreal,” “out of this world,” and “mindboggling.” Now the boisterous pair can add Lollapalooza to their résumé, although 2020 forced them into a shortened virtual set.
The set itself flew through much of G JONES and EPROM’s own musical catalogues, including G JONES’ “Soundtrack To The Machine,” EPROM’s recent Old School Destruction remix of Zeds Dead and Deathpact’s “Ether,” and a special mash-up edit of the former’s “Collision Course” vs. EPROM’s “Regis Chillbin.”
The one thing that makes their sets so incredible is how their similar-sounding production styles fit into the same sonic wheelhouse, yet one knows when they are hearing a G JONES set versus an EPROM track. For those who may have missed out, the set has now been uploaded onto SoundCloud for everyone’s listening pleasure.
