Calvin Harris shares exclusive Amazon summer playlist & remix under Love Regenerator alias

Amazon Music‘s summer playlist series has been a theme of the season for many dance music fans over quarantine. The music streaming giant now rolls out with another sun-kissed selection from Love Regenerator, the acid-tinged alias of Calvin Harris.

Harris’ playlist is chocked full of with warm, high-energy house music from MK‘s “Burning,” Cassias’ “1999,” Daft Punk‘s “Around The World,” among many other house hits. The playlist also features a number of Calvin Harris originals, like “One Kiss” with Dua Lipa and “Promises” with Sam Smith.

Along with the meticulously-curated selections, Harris also included an exclusive new Solardo remix of his 2020 Love Regenerator collaboration with Steve Lacy, “Live Without Your Love.” The original collaboration, which came out this year on Defected Records, has an interesting past—especially considering how Harris’ newer alias is a throwback to the music he says he listened to at the beginning of his career. Ahead of the release of “Live Without Your Love,” Harris previously shared a 20-year-old handwritten letter from the Defected founder, Simon Dunmore, when the then-rising house artist submitted his first demo to the venerated imprint.

Amazon’s “Summer Sessions” kicked off with Martin Garrix and has featured Disclosure, Kygo, and others. The remainder of the series will be fleshed out with playlists from the likes of TiëstoGalantisEats Everything, Idris Elba, Groove Armada, and more.
