Porter Robinson returns with newest ‘Nurture’ track, shares official sophomore LP release date
Following an eccentric year full of album-teases and shaping dance-culture history with Secret Sky Festival, sonic auteur Porter Robinson comes into 2021 ready to showcase his sophomore project’s new aesthetic direction as well as it’s highly-stylized universe. After showcasing bits and pieces of the track across his social media accounts over the last year, Porter Robinson’s newest track, “Look At The Sky,” officially sees the light of day on all streaming platforms. The best part is that the release comes with an official release date for Nurture, which has been shifted around over the past year due to timing with touring the album in an ongoing pandemic.
Arriving as Nurture‘s fourth single, “Look at the Sky” builds upon the concepts from Robison’s Worlds-era while maintaining that unique, bubbly, erring-on-childish type of sound that his global fanbase has all come to adore. The sound design is rich with Porter’s vocal layers accompanied by vocaloid-style leads with a mid-tempo house beat that drips with indie-dance influences.
Quickly approaching one of his most-anticipated releases to date, Porter Robinson’s sophomore album, Nurture, is set to release April 23, 2021. Seeing as how much Robinson’s Worlds album effectuated the EDM community culturally, aesthetically, and spiritually, long-time fans and new listeners alike are in for a decisive artistic treat coming this spring, when the visionary artist releases his forward-thinking second body of work. At the very least, one can safely project that Porter Robinson will be leaving his mark on dance music history once again.
Pre-save the album on all digital streaming platforms, here. Stay tuned for the official music video for “Look At The Sky,” along with the full Nurture track list to follow soon after.
