9 Theory taps CloZee for blissful new collaboration, ‘The Courage To Fall In Love Again’

As the solo project of the LA-based eclectic producer, singer/songwriter, and recording/mixing engineer, Gabe Lehner, 9 Theory has been passionately focused on creating and performing music for 25 years. The former Emancipator EP collaborator also previously collaborated with CloZee on her Neon Jungle LP single “Nuages” back in 2020. The two artists displayed an instant chemistry. Thus, the pair is naturally back for more collaborative juicing.

This time around, CloZee is the featured artist on 9 Theory’s “The Courage To Fall In Love Again” as the latest release on CloZee’s Odyzey Music imprint. This serves as the lead single off 9 Theory’s forthcoming album, dubbed Comfort In The Orange Glow, due out early next year. The downtempo production from both artists is effortlessly complimented by 9 Theory’s dreamy vocals on “The Courage To Fall In Love Again.”

“This album really bridges my favorite genres, and there are strong flavors of some of my biggest influences like Radiohead, Gorillaz, and The Chemical Brothers across these 13 songs, “says 9 Theory. “There is also [the] stellar collaboration with CloZee on a track,,” Lehner continues, “as well as lots of featured live musicians across the whole album adding drums, bass, harp, strings, trumpet, turntables, and more to the synths, guitars, programmed drums, and sampling that I always build around as the foundation for my 9 Theory sound.”

With a love for learning guitar and writing songs that slowly evolved into an obsession with producing, mixing, and making beats, 9 Theory has come into his own after numerous bands and musical projects as a renowned producer with a knack for effectively blending different genres of electronic, indie rock, and hip-hop into an original, unique sound.

Lehner’s third full length 9 Theory album, Comfort In The Orange Glow, is set for release on February 4, 2022 via Odyzey Music.
