Rage Against The Machine to reportedly reunite at Coachella 2020
Rage Against The Machine has announced a reunion tour after eight years. The band has five shows planned in 2020.
Overnight, a list of 2020 tour dates appeared on Rage Against The Machine’s Instagram account. While the nineties metal/rock group hasn’t formally announced a reunion on their website, the dates are confirmed via reports from Forbes and Consequence of Sound.
Forbes contributor Steve Baltin spoke with a longtime associate with Rage Against The Machine, Wayne Kamemoto. “The band’s social media is accurate,” Kamemoto said. Additionally, Consequence of Sound (CoS) spoke with industry insider sources that the dates in the post are indeed accurate. CoS’ sources also indicated Rage will perform additional shows after the initial run.
Two of the dates revealed will be at Coachella, confirming them as the first headliners revealed for 2020. The band hasn’t played together since 2011’s Rising show at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
