CloZee taps French rapper Pumpkin for 2020 version of ‘Our Voices’
CloZee‘s 2018 Evasion album is arguably the project that put the French glitch goddess on the map. The 10-track album spurred performances at huge platforms at Coachella and Lollapalooza the following year. Now, on the eve of her fourth Envision headlining appearance, CloZee has released an updated version of the track that speaks power to an entire movement.
Inspired by the #MeToo protests, CloZee enlisted fellow French artist and friend Pumpkin to deliver an empowering message to women: ”’Our Voices’ is a message of solidarity and empowerment made by women, for strong women,” she says.
While the song’s powerful new lyrics may be indistinguishable for those without French native tongues, the whole vibe is inherent in the music video. Pumpkin’s verses denounce sexism and gender inequality, reverberating in the two artist’s stances on camera. Watch for yourself.
Currently, CloZee is on tour where she will stop off at Envision, Buku, Electric Forest, and her co-headlining Red Rocks show alongside OPIUO. Grab tickets here and expect more dates to come in the future.
