Nominations for the 63rd annual Grammy Awards were announced today, November 24, with Beyoncé leading the pack with nine total nominations. Following with six nominations each were Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, and Roddy Rich. Yet, what matters amongst the dance music fanatics of the world is the electronic music categories.

The Recording Academy found their best five songs of the year to be among KAYTRANADA, Jayda G, Flume, Disclosure, and Diplo and SIDEPIECE. For Best Dance Recording, the race for the gilded gramophone is between KAYTRANADA and Kali Uchis’ “10%;” Jayda G’s “Both Of Us;” Flume and Toro Y Moi‘s wildly popular March collaboration, “The Difference;” Disclosure, Aminé, and slowthai‘s “My High,” which arrived on Disclosure’s third studio LP, Energy; and Diplo and SIDEPIECE’s “On My Mind.” SIDEPIECE is the super duo between Party Favor and Nitti Gritti.

Madeon, Kaytranada, Disclosure, Baauer, and Arca were all nominated in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category. Kaytranada was also nominated for Best New Artist, along with Ingrid Andress, Phoebe Bridgers, Chika, Noah Cyrus, D Smoke, Doja Cat, and Megan Thee Stallion, who was nominated for “Savage” with Beyoncé.

The Grammy Awards‘ 63rd annual ceremony will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 31, 2021.
