Tripp St. unveils highly-anticipated 12-track sophomore album, ‘Different Worlds’

A mere half year after releasing his debut album, Welcome To Tripp St., on CloZee’s Odyzey Music, the anonymous artist became the first to release on the imprint in early 2021. Tripp St.’s debut LP carved out his own impressive space within the scene, tastefully combining elements of hip-hop beats, irresistible melodies, and bass music. His impressive sound design showed off his signature sonics from right out the gate, which had everyone asking, “Who is Tripp St.?”

Now back, and more ambitious that ever, Tripp St. returns with his sophomore full-length, Different Worlds.

“Different Worlds is inspired by my life growing up… I’ve had a lot of different influences that have stuck with me over time, and I tried to convey that in the music. Your influences come from your surroundings, so everyone has their own unique perspective – I think about that a lot when I’m making music, so I stay true to myself and what I like.”

Musically, the album is gorgeous. A mere start-to-finish listen says this is an artist who is naturally musically gifted and well trained in his craft. From the worldly, CloZee-influenced opener, “Thoughts,” all the way to the album’s closing moments in “Marching” with Mondo Mondo, be prepared to step into several backdrops of Different Worlds.

The album’s musicality is matched by its technical prowess. Says Tripp St. in a press release,

“A lot of the piano riffs and melodies on the album are things I’ve been playing since I was a kid, and it’s feels really good to be able to accompany some of my favorite ideas with proper production. I’m very proud of this album and the time I’ve put into it. Some of these songs will always be my favorites.”

The lead single and title track, “Different Worlds,” was released October 15 and showcases the signature sound that fans have come to love from Tripp St., while continually expanding. Tripp St. played his debut performance at CloZee’s VOYAGE curated event in Wyoming this past July and is hitting the road on the Neon Jungle tour October 13 – December 11. Tripp St. is gearing up for a huge year following the release of Different Worlds.
