Stylust announces forthcoming LP, shares second single in ‘Sunchaser’

Rising up from within the Bassnectar world, Stylust has proven 2019 was his year to break out on his own. The burgeoning underground bass act has played Shambhala and Bassnectar’s Freakstyle, remixed Psymbionic’s “Carbon Based Lifeforms,” and is slated for Envision’s tenth anniversary in 2020. Recently, Stylust has been releasing singles in the steady kind of fashion that can only mean one thing: he’s got an album on the way.

The Madison House-signee unleashed the album’s title track, “Activated,” a few weeks back. Now, in a surprise gift to his fans, Stylust has released a track that fans have been yearning for. Titled “Sunchaser,” the track was originally debuted in his 2018 Shambhala mix under his former Stylust Beats moniker and has been in his sets ever since. The track officially premiered on YourEDM as the second single to his forthcoming album, due next week.

Like it’s title suggests, “Sunchaser” is a smoldering bass tune that piggybacks on the rest of his heavy sound design. One can hear the subtle Bassnectar influences on the track, although the composition is something entirely his own. Complete with an immersive lead-in, a first drop that takes listeners completely off guard, and fun and funky tempos and vocal samples, Stylust is poising himself for success.
