GRiZ announces ‘Bangers[2].Zip’ EP out next week on Deadbeats
2019 has proven to be the year of GRiZ as the future funk master’s long hiatus of 2018 was clearly a period of musical innovation and creative exploration. Grant Kwiecinski, the humble producer behind the GRiZ project, continues with his recent outpour of new music spanning many tastes and textures. Only six weeks ago, GRiZ released a surprising 3-track EP, Bangers[1].zip, which fans received with much delight. Now GRiZ is ready to release round two and the biggest news is that the project is seeing its wide release on Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats.
The saxophone-toting visionary rustled major major yesterday with the announcement of his Bangers[2].zip EP, due out August 14, along with a mirror selfie of himself touting some Deadbeats gear. In addition, leading riddim producer Subtronics shared the EP announcement on his socials just weeks after rinsing a GRiZ collaboration at Electric Forest. It’s highly likely that the Subtronics x GRiZ track could find its way onto the EP, but the project is already stirring up rumors of a possible GRiZ x Zeds Dead collaboration too.
The Bangers[2].zip EP is available for pre-save here.
