Stream Flume’s Future Sounds playlist takeover on Apple Music

To say Flume has been keeping himself busy in 2019 would be the understatement of the decade. He’s been a steady releasing machine, with his joint EP with Reo Cragun, a Hi This Is Flume mixtape that is being received as a Top Album of the Year, and collaborations/singles to boot. Meanwhile, he’s been nominated for a Grammy, all while touring extensively across the globe, and his on-stage antics have been the center of much publicity. Not to mention, his Skin single, “Never Be Like You,” reached the one billion stream club.

Most recently, Flume stopped by Apple Music’s Future Sounds, a landing pad for groundbreaking musical styles across every genre—from pop and electronic to hip-hop and R&B to virtually anything else. Flume put together over 100 of his most played-out tunes for all to enjoy right in time for the holidays. “These are tracks I’ve been listening to across the last few months. A bunch of favourites in there and some collaborators too,” Flume explained of his set selection process.

The playlist covers the full terrain of Flume’s diverse taste-making appetite. The Aussie-bred artist samples Ekali, Mr. Carmack, SOFI TUKKER, Alison Wonderland, DROELOE, Hermitude, EPROM, Kasbo, Madeon, and Snakehips, to name a few. Of course, as a master of his DJing craft, Flume strings his selections together with his signature “future classic” flare: verbose percussive elements, moody textures, irresistible future basslines, and a few tattered lo-fi fx. Of course, Flume is sure to rinse in a few of his own recent hits, including his commercial hit, “Rushing Back” with Vera Blue, and the London Grammar-assisted single, “Let You Know.”

All in all, the expertly curated makes for one pretty stellar playlist the likes of which only Flume can muster up.
